It was a remarkable display of unity, solidarity and political strength yesterday, 29th October 2026, as the Ido Local Government Campaign Council Manager, Hon. Suara Modeeu Afolabi (SMA), led party leaders, members, supporters and enthusiastic youths of Ido Local Government in a massive mega rally organised in support of all All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates, from the Presidency to the State House of Assembly.
The rally witnessed an impressive turnout, with the presence of APC candidates and representatives of prominent political leaders, including representatives of Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, the incoming Governor of Oyo State, come 2027; Engineer Aderemi Abass Oseni, the incoming Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District; Hon. Niyi Yusuf Osuolale, the incoming Federal Representative for Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency; and Hon. Adeleke Azeez Taiwo, the incoming Member representing Ido State Constituency.
Also in attendance were APC leaders across Ido Local Government, party faithful, members of various artisan associations, community stakeholders, local government executives, ward executives and enthusiastic youths who came together to demonstrate their commitment to the success of the party in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
Among the prominent leaders who graced the occasion and encouraged members to remain committed to the party’s collective vision were Leader Okedina Hakeem, Leader Oladejo Wahab, Honourable Femi Akande, Leader Adeniyi Olowofela, Leader Adeoye, Leader Akande, Honourable Najeem Oduwole, Honourable Adeyemo Kazeem, Honourable Safiu and Honourable Hakeeb Alarape, alongside all APC Local Government and Ward Executives. Their presence and words of encouragement further strengthened the spirit of unity and determination among party members.
One of the most encouraging highlights of the rally was the massive participation of community members who are not affiliated with any political party but voluntarily joined the procession and openly pledged their support and votes for all APC candidates. This was a strong demonstration of growing political interest, confidence and support for the party across Ido Local Government.
Speaking at the rally, Alhaji Kamorudeen Ajisafe warmly welcomed everyone and appreciated the massive turnout. He encouraged party leaders, members and supporters to cooperate, maintain peaceful relationships and work together with one common purpose to secure victory for all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
Similarly, Alhaji AbdulRauf Abolade Bello encouraged all APC members in Ido Local Government to remain focused, steadfast and committed to the collective mission of reclaiming Oyo State in 2027. He urged party faithful to work tirelessly towards rescuing the state from what he described as political power intoxication and a style of governance that treats the affairs of the state as personal property rather than the collective responsibility of the people.
In his closing remarks, Hon. Suara Modeeu Afolabi (SMA), the Ido Local Government Campaign Council Manager, expressed profound appreciation to all party leaders, stakeholders, artisans, youths, supporters and residents who made the rally a tremendous success. He commended their commitment, massive turnout and unwavering support, while calling for sustained mobilisation, unity and dedication until victory is achieved.
He also offered prayers, asking Almighty Allah to crown the collective efforts of the party with resounding success and grant APC victory in the 2027 general elections.
